Multifamily and Retail: Microgrid, Solar and Mechanical Controls

Greenworks Lending provided $1.1M in C-PACE financing to supplement existing capital from state and private loans, grants and tax credits. C-PACE’s long-term, fixed-rate and borrower security made it an attractive component of the capital stack. The financing helped make the building’s microgrid – the first in the State of Connecticut and the first C-PACE funded microgrid in the US – a reality. The project features a complex network of advanced energy-saving measures, including: 400 kW fuel cell, a 115 kW rooftop solar photovoltaic array, energy and heat-recovery systems, and Nest smart thermostats.
