The Ridgefield Supply Company has invested significantly into its property, business and community in recent years, transforming its retail center into a state of the art showroom and building several new warehouse structures to provide permanent coverage for its building supply inventory. With an eye for sustainability and community recent renovations have included a number of energy efficiency measures and even the rehabilitation of a historic train station on the property. Upon completion of these measures, The Ridgefield Supply company addressed its long-term energy needs by installing a 184kW solar array (532 SunPower X21-345) panels and 7 Solar Edge inverters), designed to meet 100% of the businesses current needs with room for growth in the future.

With roots as a lumberyard dating back to the early 20th century, Ridgefield Supply is a family owned business with a multi-building retail and warehouse distribution center in the center of a bustling small town. The 4.5 acre property has recently undergone significant renovations to create permanent cover for all building materials, thus creating a perfect opportunity to incorporate renewable energy by utilizing approximately 9,0000 square feet of roof.
Since 2007, PurePoint Energy has been a leading solar provider to commercial, agricultural and residential property owners throughout Connecticut. PurePoint Energy worked diligently with Greenworks Lending to become Ridgefield’s first completed C-PACE financed installation in the fall of 2018, only months after the C-PACE program was approved in the municipality.
